Who and what is Grabyo?

Grabyo is the video platform built for live, social and mobile. Our cloud-based platform removes the traditional complexities of professional video production and distribution.

Grabyo works with the world’s largest broadcasters and rights holders including: Sky Sports, BT Sport, Eurosport, ITV, Turner, The Premier League, LaLiga, The FA, Buzzfeed, AELTC Wimbledon, GOAL.com and many more. Our platform integrates with the major social platforms - including Facebook, Instagram, Periscope, Twitter, and YouTube. Grabyo is also a preferred global partner for Facebook Live.

Our commitment to growth

Recognised as a top 50 scale up by CityAM and selected as part of the 2017 UpscaleUK program by TechCityUK, Grabyo is growing at scale. We are looking to increase the size of our development and engineering teams. We are currently hiring Backend Developers, DevOps Engineers, Data Engineers, Security Engineers and Software Engineering interns to join our already outstanding workforce.

Our current team consists of CTO, VP Engineering, Software Architect, Product Owner, 6 Full-Stack Back-End Engineers, 4 Front-End Developers, 2 DevOps Engineer, 3 Video Engineer, Android Developer, iOS Developer and an R&D Engineer.

The tech team is structured into multiple teams working on all features at the same time with a flexible and agile approach where every week you might be placed on a different team or feature. We follow Agile methodologies with daily standups and a strong culture of trust. We believe that scrum masters are there to make sure engineers have the tools they need and support the team delivering the project.

Key New Product Launches: 2019

The demand for more flexible, scalable tools for digital-first live streams has driven the demand for key new product launches for 2019

Producer: Live video production in the cloud

The Producer platform will enable customers to create digital live streams in the cloud which are integrated with Grabyo Studio for editing and live streaming to multiple social accounts.

Easy Editing: Simplified Cloud Video Editing

The existing real-time clip sharing capability within Grabyo will be extended to support more complex video edits, quick highlights and more advanced editing for social video production.

Data Integrations and AI: Editing automation in the cloud

One of the key benefits of building a cloud-based video platform is the ability to integrate third-party data sources to enhance the information available for users and to drive meta-data, search and automation. This capability will include artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities to drive automation.

Innovation is part of our culture too. Not only do we build innovative products for our clients, but we also encourage our engineers to be innovative with our tech too. Keeping up to date with the latest innovations in video engineering and software development is part of our success.

All this innovation can’t happen without a culture of constant learning, collaboration. Our engineers are always learning new technologies/methodologies to solve their daily challenges. To help this process with have different processes in place to support the development of skills regularly. These are a few examples:

Personal development budget

We strongly believe in our engineers as they are at the core of our success. Without a great team of engineers, you can't build a good product. For that reason, we have personal development budget per employee that they can use to go to conferences, meetups or online courses. Anything that makes them a better engineer makes Grabyo a better company.

Tech hours on Wednesday

Every Wednesday we allocate an hour of the whole tech team’s diary to allow members of the team to share knowledge. This could be a current project they are working on or the latest tech they have been playing around with.


We love tech, and we love to have fun. For this reason, we try to organize optional hackathons twice a year. This is an event that lasts 24h and is the perfect opportunity to geek around with the latest tech that everyone wants to play around with whilst having lots of junk food!

Mentors and regular performance reviews
